Ten years later in 1991 the National Debt reached $ 3,665,000,000,000.00 [ Trillion ] Ten years later in 2001 it hit  $ 5,807,000,000,000.00 [Trillion ] . Seven years later [ 2008 ] it hit $ 10,000,000,000,000.00 [ Trillion ] In the next 8 years under Obama the National Debt doubled to almost $ 20,000,000,000,000.00 [ Trillion ] There is no way that we will be able to pay this off considering at this point $ 650 Trillion in interest is added every year.
